Stairway To Heaven (2003-2004) - Joe

Stairway To Heaven is in Korean with English subtitles, starring Choi Ji-Woo as Han Jung-Suh.

Look forward to an emotional rollercoaster ride between the delicately beautiful Han Jung-Suh and her childhood friend Cha Song-Joo (heir to the Global Land / Safe Mall complex). Her life is complicated by her artistic stepbrother’s (Han Tae-Hwa) obsessive love for her and her stepsister’s (Han Yoo-Ri) schemes to lure Cha Song-Joo.  From the 2003-2004 Korean TV season, this show is among the leading wave of excellent K-dramas. With imaginative cinematography and a suspenseful storyline, this TV series is highly recommended with lots of Kleenex boxes for this romantic love story.  Filmed on location at Lotte World in Seoul, South Korea.

From the beautiful piano music to the percussive drums of the soaring "Ave Maria" by Rebecca Luker, to an instrumental of Led Zeppelin’s theme song, the music is integral to the unfolding drama.  Though the soundtrack replaced Luker's track with another singer, Ms. Luker's version can be found on "Aria 2" by Paul Schwartz.  Both CDs are available from Amazon.com. Unfortunately, the best version is on the DVD.
